About JOGA NYC

THE CITY GAME
NEEDS A HOME

JOGA NYC is a club-neutral soccer community built to help New Yorkers play, learn, watch, and participate in the game. We organize the field, map the ecosystem, move gear, tell stories, and help players find the next door.

Mission

Access is part of the game.

JOGA NYC exists to make soccer in New York City easier to reach, easier to understand, and harder to keep behind money, network, geography, or club politics. The mission is to create more places to play, more ways to be seen, more information for families, and more support for the people already carrying the game.

Standard

Affordable should still feel serious.

The work is community-first, but the standard matters. JOGA is built around organized sessions, clear information, responsible introductions, real documentation, and partnerships that improve the player experience instead of turning access into another expensive gate.

On The Field

Weekly games. Real evaluation. Real community.

JOGA runs organized weekly soccer sessions and games where players from across NYC and the tri-state area can compete outside their usual club setting. The sessions have brought together academy, MLS NEXT, college, ECNL, EDP, high-school, lower-league, and overlooked local players in one competitive environment.

The Bigger Idea

JOGA is a bridge between talent, information, opportunity, and support.

New York has players everywhere, but the ecosystem can be hard to navigate. Some players need a field. Some need boots. Some need a better club fit. Some need a coach to see them live. Some families need clearer information. Some brands and funders want to help but need the right platform. JOGA brings those pieces closer together.

Davide Clarkson

Built by Davide Clarkson.

JOGA NYC was founded by Davide Clarkson, a Grenada Senior Men's National Team player, Harvard alum, and Met Oval alum. His work sits at the intersection of high-level player experience, NYC youth soccer, community programming, and practical access to the game.

Why It Matters

Davide built JOGA from the player side of the ecosystem: understanding what it feels like to need a field, a standard, a chance to be seen, and people who can open the right door. That background shapes the platform's focus on serious play, affordable access, honest guidance, and real relationships across the city game.

Why Players Reach Out

The network is becoming part of the value.

Players reach out to JOGA because the platform is connected to the local soccer space and because the field standard is real. We can see players repeatedly, not just through old highlights or resumes. That helps surface players who are sharp now, ready now, and sometimes overlooked because they lack the right video, CV, money, or pathway.
