The recent navigation changes give JOGA’s four pillars a clearer place on the website, from pickup games to creative work.
The work taking shape
A useful football website should help someone find their next step. This week, JOGA NYC reorganized its navigation around Play, Learn, Watch and Participate, with Explore bringing together the city guide, map and other resources.
Play separates JOGA events from the wider places to find a game. Learn brings training resources and player pathways together. Watch connects stories, players, the archive and places to follow football. Participate shows ways to contribute time, creative skills, equipment or professional experience.
Inside the dropdowns, related links now sit under smaller headings. Training and college pathways serve different needs, just as watching a match and requesting a photographer do. Making those distinctions visible helps visitors choose without opening every page.
The change also brings the category links into a mobile menu. Someone browsing on a phone can open a pillar and reach its pages directly. The guide and map remain routes into the broader city ecosystem.
This is a small piece of the larger community work. JOGA can create a session, publish a story or open a way to help, but people still need to find it. Clearer organization gives those opportunities a better chance of reaching the person who needs them.
Play. Learn. Watch. Participate.
