The work taking shape

JOGA NYC completed two more Talent IDs over the past two weeks. The September 29 and October 5 sessions carried the player-opportunity work into the fall, continuing a run that began with summer games and earlier evaluations.

The fall calendar placed both sessions at Randall’s Island: September 29 for U12–U14 players and October 5 for U14–U16 players. Different age groups need different opportunities. Creating sessions across those groups gives the work a wider reach than a single showcase can provide.

A Talent ID gives a player a place to be evaluated. The important next step is specific to that player and the environment: further evaluation, a callback or another suitable opportunity. Completing a session does not by itself establish a club offer or signing.

These two recent events are part of the current JOGA story. They build on the earlier Talent IDs while giving another group of young players a chance to enter the process. The story of each session continues through the follow-up, as players learn whether there is an appropriate next step.

With more dates ahead, the focus is continuity. Keep creating chances to play, make the purpose of each evaluation clear and help players understand the next opportunity that fits them.

Play. Learn. Watch. Participate.
